She sang anywhere in a 30 mile radius, which included churches, restaurants and family celebrations. Alaina was just 8 years old when she won in the Southern Stars Pageant's talent competition. The next year she was invited to perform on the Kids stage of Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The following years, she appeared every year on this stage until 12, when the contest that allowed her to take part on the main stage of the festival was the winner. When she was ten she travelled from Florida from Florida to Orlando for the purpose of competing in the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat hundreds of children to win the competition. Alaina was a member of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's children's chorus. Alaina was 12 when she took her first of many journeys to Nashville. She sang at Tootsie's and at other local bars on Broadway. Alaina, who was born in 1989, took home the WinniSTAR talent competition for youngsters who live at Lake Winnepesaukah. Alaina was inspired to sing by her aunt, Holly Witherow, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Alaina was previously employed by CiC's Pizza.
