Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1997 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the media and bloggers. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to pursue music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. Her parents inspired her to write. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love for Bjork's style. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, and also inspire others to see their value to the world and appreciate how they can benefit from them She decided to start playing in front of the public. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they impact the world. It was unknown to her family until she was fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. As she says, she just enjoys writing songs. She believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
